Project Manager – Structural Engineer (Hybrid) Job Summary: The Project Manager – Structural Engineer will manage projects from initial stage to the completion of the project. Responsibilities Prepare and produce structural designs, project management, overseeing the production of structural documents, quality control, shop drawing review and field investigations Preparing cost estimates, specifications and contract documents Participate in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, business development, and preparation of proposals. Project Management responsibilities (customer satisfaction, deliverables, quality, schedule and budget) for assigned projects. Prepare bid/proposal packages Perform site inspection and condition assessments of existing structures. Provide site supervision and technical support for construction projects on an as required basis. Qualifications And Experience Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering 2-5 years of structural engineering experience Professional Engineer license an asset Access to a reliable vehicle with a valid Driver’s License for travel to client sites Experience in either designing steel, concrete, wood or masonry structures for buildings preferred Working knowledge of Ontario building codes and standards Excellent communication skills, ideally in both English and French preferred Highly organized and detail oriented Ability to work with design team and work on multiple projects at the same time Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, Monday and Friday from home) Travel: Up to 25% (day trips to Montreal and around Ottawa area 1-2 per week) Compensation & Benefits The expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 CAD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
