About This Opportunity This is a foundational role supporting the growth of Samyang Canada, playing a key part in expanding our presence in the Canadian market. While this position is posted on the Samyang America careers page, the selected candidate will be employed by the Canadian entity and subject to applicable Canadian employment laws and benefits. Location & Work Model This position is based in our Toronto office with a hybrid work model. Position Summary: Join Samyang Canada and guide the prominence of influential brands like Buldak, Tangle, and MEP. Numerator recently named Buldak Ramen as the top brand among Generation Alpha – now you have the chance to build on that momentum! The National Account Manager, Small Format will lead Samyang Canada’s national relationships with all Small Format banners. This role is critical to unlocking the company’s largest volume + numerical distribution opportunity by driving velocity, distribution expansion, and innovation-led growth. The ideal candidate is a commercially sharp, execution-oriented sales leader with deep retailer expertise and a strong track record of accelerating innovative product assortments in fast-moving CPG categories. Key Responsibilities: * Own and lead national account relationships with major Small Format chains and additional priority banners. * Deliver volume growth through distribution expansion, shelf optimization, and promotional excellence. * Lead new SKU rollouts, innovation launches, and seasonal program execution across key retailers. * Manage trade negotiations, joint business planning, promotional planning, and category review cycles. * Ensure consistent, high-quality in-store execution aligned with brand, shopper, and merchandising strategies. * Partner with cross-functional teams to improve retailer-specific insights, reporting, and forecasting accuracy. * Identify and secure incremental facings, new listings, and innovation opportunities across the mainstream channel. * Maintain best-in-class retailer engagement through proactive communication, business reviews, and data-driven storytelling. Requirements: * 7+ years of experience in CPG national account management. * Direct experience managing Circle K/Couche Tard, 711, Shell etc…at a national level. * Demonstrated success driving velocity and execution following initial listings. * Strong understanding of trade strategy, category management, and promotional planning. * Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. * Data-driven mindset with capability to interpret POS, panel, and retail execution insights. * Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environments. * Willingness to travel within the territory as needed (40-50%) Preferred: * Experience working in CPG foods, with particular focus on instant noodles, pasta, or other high-velocity grocery categories. * Deep retailer savvy—understanding operational nuances, decision-making rhythms, and omni-channel levers. * Commercially sharp with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for results. * High execution orientation with the ability to translate strategy into measurable, in-store impact. * Strategic, collaborative, and comfortable influencing cross-functional and retailer partners. * Proactive problem-solver with strong organization, communication, and prioritization skills Equal Employment Opportunity Employer: Samyang America is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals.
