Job Purpose The Master Production Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing all production and shipment schedules. This role assembles the master schedule based upon the business, shipment, inventory, and production plans and serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with Engineering, Sales, Production, and Shipping departments. Nature Of Duties Develop integrated master schedule for a complex Configure to Order program using demand forecasts, sales data, material supply and capacity. Act as a liaison between sales, production, procurement, and engineering to align resources and materials with schedules. Track progress, analyze performance metrics (like on-time delivery), identify risks, and troubleshoot issues. Participate in the closing of aged Work-In-Progress (WIP) and work order variances. Ensure optimal flow and first-in-first-out (FIFO) through the shop. Balance workload across work centers. Prepare status reports, create department dashboards, and communicate schedule updates to stakeholders. Use data to drive process improvements and ensure efficient use of capacity. Assess and implement techniques needed to plan, schedule, control, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of production operations Monitor and report any changes in sales forecasts, budgets and business strategies Communicate production schedule to staff members promptly. Various other duties as required. Education And Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Operations Management Minimum of 8 years related experience required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Excel Understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning and supply chain dynamics Ability to work with changing priorities and complex information Other Requirements Able to obtain your Controlled Goods Certification, as well as International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Clearance. Other Information The compensation range for this position is $80,000-$110,000 annually. This position is for an existing vacancy.
