Job Summary We are looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to develop and improve robotics applications using ROS 2. The engineer will work on sensor integration, computer vision, navigation, autonomous systems, simulation, and edge AI. This role involves working with software, AI, embedded systems, and hardware teams to build reliable, production-ready robotics solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and develop robotics applications using ROS 2. Create ROS 2 nodes, packages, launch files, and reusable software components. Integrate cameras, LiDAR, radar, GPS, IMU, and other sensors. Develop perception features such as object detection, tracking, segmentation, and sensor fusion. Build navigation and autonomy features using Nav2, SLAM, localization, mapping, path planning, and obstacle avoidance. Integrate AI and machine-learning models into robotics applications. Test robotics applications using Gazebo, RViz, and other simulation tools. Improve CPU, GPU, memory, communication, and sensor-processing performance. Support robotics development and deployment on Linux and embedded platforms. Troubleshoot software, hardware, sensor, and system-integration issues. Work with cross-functional teams on architecture, testing, demonstrations, and customer projects. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Strong programming skills in C++ and Python. Hands-on experience with ROS 2 and Linux. Experience with DDS middleware such as Fast DDS, Cyclone DDS, or Connext DDS. Experience with robotics concepts such as: Perception and sensor fusion Navigation and SLAM Localization and mapping Path planning and obstacle avoidance Autonomous systems Familiarity with OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX Runtime, or Point Cloud Library. Understanding of real-time systems, multithreaded programming, and distributed systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience with autonomous mobile robots or industrial robotics. Experience with Gazebo, RViz, MoveIt 2, ROS 2 Control, or micro-ROS. Experience deploying AI applications on GPU-powered edge platforms. Familiarity with Ubuntu, Yocto, containers, and CI/CD tools. Knowledge of robotics or functional safety standards. Contributions to ROS or ROS 2 open-source projects.
