The successful candidates will support animal health and welfare, maintain clean and safe barn conditions, and assist with feeding, monitoring, and handling livestock. Duties and ResponsibilitiesFeed pigs according to established schedules and nutrition programs.Monitor the health and well-being of livestock and report signs of illness, injury, or unusual behaviour.Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by farm management and veterinary protocols.Clean, sanitize, and maintain barns, pens, feeding equipment, and work areas.Assist with moving, sorting, loading, and unloading pigs.Monitor and maintain ventilation, temperature control, and other environmental systems.Record production and animal health information as required.Assist with breeding, farrowing, and nursery operations when needed.Operate basic farm equipment and tools safely.Follow all biosecurity, animal welfare, health and safety, and farm procedures. QualificationsNo formal education required.Previous livestock or agricultural experience is an asset but not required; training will be provided.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to animal welfare and farm biosecurity practices.Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a physically demanding environment.Reliable, dependable, and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required. Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesPhysically demanding work.Repetitive tasks.Standing, walking, bending, crouching, and lifting throughout the day.Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).Exposure to dust, odours, noise, and varying temperatures typical of livestock operations. Personal SuitabilityDependabilityReliabilityTeam playerInitiativeGood communication skillsStrong work ethic BenefitsOn-site training provided.Supportive team environment.Opportunities for long-term employment and advancement. Interested in joining our Team?
