General Statement of Duties: * The Driller is responsible for managing the rig floor, crew, and driller’s console together with all associated equipment. Supervision Received: * The Driller reports to, and receives supervision from, the Rig Manager. Supervision Exercised: * The Driller is responsible for supervising the crew, ensuring that the job is performed safely and efficiently and according to industry requirements and Company/Contractor policy. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): * Operate drilling equipment and oversee daily drilling operations * Lead and supervise rig crews to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently * Conduct pre-job meetings and participate in safety programs and inspections * Ensure equipment is operated and maintained according to company standards * Complete required reports, logs, and operational documentation * Train, mentor, and develop crew members * Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Strong functional and technical skills * Good working knowledge of relevant equipment and practices * Sound organization and time-management skills * Ability to set priorities and make timely decisions * Ability to maintain composure under stressful conditions * Ability to build and motivate teams and manage diversity within teams * Ability to build good relationships with bosses and peers * Ability to direct and delegate to others as appropriate * Ability to manage conflict and deal with challenging people issues * Commitment to the demonstration of Savanna’s core values (integrity, relationships, excellence & sustainability).
