The Village of Humber Heights has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Hospitality to join their team. • Status: Temporary Full-Time • Location: 2245 Lawrence Avenue West, Etobicoke, M9P 3W3 • Position Type: Temporary Full time • Expected Start Date: September 21, 2026 The expected hiring range for this is $66,950 to $ 70,600. This role falls within a broader internal salary band, with growth opportunities based on demonstrated performance. How Schlegel Villages supports our Team Members: * Competitive salary, and benefits; * Significant opportunities for Growth and Development * Ongoing Team Member Appreciation incentives and rewards and recognition * Extended Health Benefits & Retirement Savings * Individualized Assistance for Team Member Education and Development * Loans and Scholarships to help our team members realize their greatest potential * Financial Hardship Support Program: Wilfred Schlegel Hope Fund * A Unique Family Culture The Director of Hospitality will: * Experience in working in a customer service driven environment while leading a large hospitality team in multiple dining areas * Demonstrate a creative flair for menu planning, preparation, and food presentation * Passion for coaching and mentoring team members * Have advanced Food Handlers Certificate and Smart Serve certifications * Basic computer skills and comfortable using Microsoft Office Packages * Inspire teams in providing an Exceptional Customer Experience * Provide leadership to the Retirement & Long Term Care teams in the planning, preparation, and serving of meals to our residents * Creativity in developing and implementing Special Events and Programs in conjunction with other village teams such as marketing and recreation * Understand the dietary and nutritional requirements of our residents * Monitor all food service orders to support village needs * Prepare department schedules and payroll tasks * Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across all kitchens and serveries to meet and exceed all standards set by Public Health Knowledge or experience in the following areas would be an asset: * Experience working in a senior living environment * A Certificate or Diploma from a recognized institution in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience * A Red Seal Certified Chef * Active membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (C.S.N.M.)
