HIGH SCHOOL LEARNING SUPPORT, OUTREACH & SCIENCE 11 TEACHER Daaxiigan Sḵ'adáa Née K-12 School An employment opportunity exists for a Temporary Part-Time (0.571 FTE) High School Learning Support, Outreach & Science Teacher effective September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 at Daaxiigan Sḵ'adáa Née K-12 School. Requirements A university teaching major, or its equivalent, directly related to the teaching position; Understanding and being committed to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, including the eradication of existing and persistent equity gaps for specific groups of children; High level of skills related to successful classroom management, and to the development and maintenance of a positive classroom climate; Experience with multi-grade classes an asset; Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, instruct and evaluate learning activities for students' strengths and for their academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs; Assume primary responsibility for designing, instructing, assessing, and evaluating the educational programming of all assigned students; Working with the learning services and administrative team to collaboratively develop and implement Individual Education Plans and Behavior Plans; Knowledge of school-based teams; Be prepared to provide support in creating inclusive learning environments where students are connected, supported, engaged and challenged; Proven interpersonal skills, work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, education assistants, parents and administrators; Understanding of local resources and environment; Teacher Regulation Branch certification. Competitive Salary: $68,767 - $43,137 per annum Remote and Rural Allowance: $2,002 per annum Travel Allowance: $690 per annum Up to $2,000 relocation allowance upon submission of receipts Teachers currently employed with the district need only submit a letter of intent.
