Uncertified language teacher applications may be considered with a commitment to complete the TRB Letter of Permission; recent experience teaching Okanagan language; proficient in speaking and writing in Okanagan and English; ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness; knowledge of current effective instruction and assessment practices; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level; effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills; ability to integrate technology into educational programs. The teacher will provide Okanagan language instruction to students from grades K-7 at Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary School. Responsibilities include fostering social, emotional, and cultural awareness while integrating technology into educational programs.

Candidates must hold a First Nations Language Teacher Certificate in Okanagan Language or be committed to obtaining a TRB Letter of Permission. Proficiency in speaking and writing both Okanagan and English is required.
