POSTING DATE: May 14, 2026 SCHOOL: Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary SchoolPOSITION: Grades K-7 Okanagan Language Teacher POSTING: #17 - 2026/27 APPOINTMENT: 0.4 FTE Continuing START DATE: September 1, 2026 Qualifications Required: First Nations Language Teacher Certificate in Okanagan Language (as recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Brand (TRB)). Uncertified language teacher applications may be considered with a commitment to complete the TRB Letter of Permission; recent experience teaching Okanagan language; proficient in speaking and writing in Okanagan and English; ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness; knowledge of current effective instruction and assessment practices; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level; effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills; ability to integrate technology into educational programs.
