Purpose The Variable Compensation Analyst contributes to the overall success of ScotiaMcLeod Sales Management in Canadian Wealth Management in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Accountabilities WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Provides knowledgeable support to management and staff and ensure all HR and ScotiaMcLeod policies are administered in a manner consistent with Scotiabank Standards and procedures: Ensure the Service Level Agreements are consistently met Provide expert service by accurately communicating HR and SM policy and procedural changes. Maintain confidentiality of employee information. Ensure the timely escalation and upwards referral of unresolved/unusual inquiries/outstanding issues. Develop a detailed understanding of SM Compensation Policies & Procedures Promptly investigate and respond to inquiries, resolving exceptions and performing timely corrections Provides support on Sales Management policy support, projects and initiatives Contribute to projects and execution of projects Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS?: Education: Post Secondary preferred; Accounting/Payroll experience preferred Brokerage experience an asset Good knowledge of wealth management concepts; financial instruments Strong Excel skills Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to effectively work with stakeholders, partners and management. Highly professional, able to exercise discretion when working with sensitive and confidential information.
