Résumé du poste
Site Superintendent – Major Construction Projects Calgary & Edmonton, Alberta | Relocation Opportunity from the GTA $130,000–$145,000 base Experienced Site Superintendents in the GTA: if relocating west has been on your radar, this opportunity offers the combination of major projects, strong leadership support and long-term stability that can make the move worthwhile. We are representing a growing Western Canadian construction organization that is hiring Site Superintendents in both Calgary and Edmonton. The primary projects are large, multi-storey concrete developments generally valued between $85 million and $200 million, including seniors-care, retirement-living, healthcare-style and institutional buildings. These are technically demanding projects involving structured parking, significant mechanical and electrical coordination, commercial kitchens, life-safety infrastructure, commissioning and operationally sensitive spaces. The Opportunity As Site Superintendent, you will lead the day-to-day field execution of your assigned project while working closely with a dedicated Project Manager, Project Coordinator and Construction Manager. You will be responsible for: • Daily site operations and trade coordination • Short-term planning and sequencing • Site logistics, access, deliveries and inspections • Safety and quality control • Subcontractor manpower and performance • Schedule execution and look-ahead planning • Field issue resolution and constructability • Site documentation and reporting through Procore • Testing, commissioning, deficiencies and turnover • Leadership and mentoring of field staff This organization does not operate with a territorial “my site, my rules” mentality. The Superintendent owns the field operation, but major sequencing, cost and project decisions are made collaboratively with the Project Manager and Construction Manager. The environment is best suited to a confident Superintendent who can lead trades and field staff while still operating as part of a broader project team. What We Are Looking For For the major-project openings, ideal candidates will have: • Proven Site Superintendent experience on multi-storey construction • Experience with projects of four storeys or more • Major concrete construction experience strongly preferred • Full-cycle exposure from excavation and structure through interiors, commissioning and turnover • Experience on projects valued at approximately $45M–$50M+ • Experience in retirement living, long-term care, healthcare, institutional, high-rise or large multi-family construction • Strong trade coordination, sequencing, logistics and quality-control capability • Working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Project • A calm, practical and collaborative leadership style Why Consider Moving West? The opportunity offers: • Major projects valued up to approximately $200M • Long-term work pipeline in Alberta • Strong Construction Manager and senior-leadership support • Direct access to decision-makers • A collaborative rather than highly bureaucratic culture • Relocation assistance for qualified candidates • Employer benefits Compensation For the major-project Superintendent positions: Base salary: $130,000–$145,000 annually Final compensation will depend on experience, project history, qualifications and assignment. A modest fuel allowance may also be available. No company truck is provided. There is also a separate Edmonton-based developmental Superintendent opportunity attached to a smaller approximately $14M–$15M charitable project. An experienced Senior Foreman ready to step into a first Superintendent role may be considered. Compensation for that assignment is $110,000–$130,000 base. Current major-project opportunities are located in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. If you are a GTA Superintendent who has been thinking about Alberta, this provides the opportunity to make the move with a defined project, relocation support and a substantial long-term construction pipeline behind you. This is a confidential recruiter-led search. Client identity will be shared with qualified candidates during the recruitment process. Compensation Transparency The expected compensation range for this role is $110,000 to $150,000 annually, plus package, depending on location, experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and overall fit for the position.
