Résumé du poste

FACILITIES MANAGER SEGAL CENTRE FOR PERFORMING ARTS 5170 chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine EMPLOYMENT Permanent · Full-time · On-site SALARY $75,000–$95,000 REPORTS TO Director of Finance & Administration WHERE OPERATIONS MEET PERFORMANCE. Every performance begins long before the curtain rises. The Segal Centre is seeking an experienced, hands-on, collaborative and bilingual Facilities Manager to keep its venues performance-ready while ensuring high standards of safety, security and reliability across a distinctive two-site, three-building portfolio. A ROLE AT THE HEART OF THE ACTION You will balance the long-term stewardship of the buildings with the vibrant pace of a cultural organization including rehearsals, performances, classes, events and rentals. The portfolio includes the main building, constructed in 1967; a four-storey annex; and a 10,000-square-foot warehouse with production spaces. YOUR MANDATE · YOUR IMPACT • Keep performance, rehearsal, public, office and production spaces safe, welcoming and ready for use. • Structure preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, elevator, roofing and access systems. • Lead capital, renovation and deferred-maintenance projects from scope and budget through delivery. • Manage budgets, contracts and vendors while identifying reliable, sustainable and cost-effective solutions. • Collaborate with internal partners on theatre-specific infrastructure, including stage systems, rigging points, loading areas and acoustical considerations, to coordinate work with performance schedules. • Strengthen health and safety, emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance across all three buildings. • Supervise the Head of Maintenance and external cleaning providers and coordinate coverage for performances and events. ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT? You bring 5–7+ years of progressive experience in facilities, building operations, property, construction or venue management. Relevant backgrounds may include cultural institutions, education, hospitality, museums, community organizations, public venues or multi-site properties. • Practical judgment, a service mindset and the ability to solve problems calmly and methodically. • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance planning, contractor oversight, budgets and capital projects. • Ability to read technical drawings; familiarity with theatre systems is an asset but is not required. • Experience overseeing IT infrastructure and maintaining an effective information architecture would be considered a strong asset. • Bilingual in French and English, a valid Quebec Class 5 driver’s licence, and availability for occasional evenings, weekends and to respond to urgent facility matters. WHY THE SEGAL? A visible role, a varied portfolio and the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on an important Montréal cultural institution.
