CONSTRUCTION WORKER Commercial Swimming Pool & Water Feature Design/Build Company Full-Time | Permanent WORKSITES ARE LOCATED IN THE GTA - TORONTO AND SUROUNDING AREAS Service Plus Aquatics Inc. is a rapidly expanding and progressive company specializing in the commercial recreational aquatic industry. Our continued success is driven by our commitment to quality, ongoing training, and a highly collaborative team environment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- POSITION OVERVIEW Reporting to the Construction Department Manager, the Construction Technician plays a key hands-on role in executing a wide range of commercial aquatic construction projects. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires performing light to heavy industrial work. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Learn and apply trade skills related to: * Construction, renovation, and servicing of commercial swimming pools, spas, fountains, and water features (condos, hotels, fitness facilities, etc.) * Ceramic tile installation, marbilite application, painting, masonry, cement parging, concrete repair, soldering, demolition, and water chemistry * Operate and maintain pool automation systems and industrial tools/equipment * Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code (OBC), Ontario Health Code, and municipal by-laws * Collaborate with the Construction team and other internal departments * Continuously develop and apply technical and trade-specific skills * Upon completion of the probationary period, enroll in an Apprenticeship Program leading to a licensed trade certification -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS * 3–5 years of relevant construction or industrial experience * Valid eligibility to work in Canada (Citizen or Work Visa with SIN) * Physically fit and capable of heavy industrial work * Ability to read and interpret blueprints * Strong communication, listening, and customer service skills * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Technically inclined with strong problem-solving abilities * Reliable team player with the ability to work independently * Demonstrates initiative and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision * High School Diploma required; post-secondary education is an asset * Must be 25+ with a valid G driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract * Must own a reliable vehicle * Bondable and highly dependable -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WORK SCHEDULE * 6-day work week during peak seasons: * April to early July * Mid-August to end of October * Start times between 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM * Extended hours required during peak periods -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT WE OFFER * Year-round employment (no layoffs) with consistent hours * Bi-weekly direct deposit payroll * WSIB coverage and company insurance * Non-unionized environment with strong growth opportunities * Internal promotions and cross-training opportunities * Use of company power tools * Uniform allowance * Team and family social events
