What You'll Do As a Lead Environmental Technician, you'll lead remediation projects and help ensure work is completed safely, professionally, and in compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities include: Leading mould, asbestos, and environmental remediation projects Establishing and maintaining containments and environmental controls Setting up and monitoring negative air systems Performing remediation and selective demolition activities Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulations Training, guiding, and supporting field crews Completing site documentation and reporting Leading and supporting water, fire, and emergency restoration projects as operational needs require Participating in an on-call rotation to support emergency response operations What We're Looking For 3+ years of environmental remediation or restoration experience Experience leading field crews Strong knowledge of mould remediation, asbestos abatement, and site safety Current IICRC certification (AMRT, WRT, or equivalent) Valid driver's licence Ability to wear full PPE and respiratory protection when required Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift 50 lbs Willingness to travel when required Assets That Will Set You Apart Additional IICRC certifications Formal asbestos abatement training Experience with air monitoring and environmental controls Construction or demolition experience Experience with restoration software such as Encircle First Aid certification What You'll Get $25-$30/hour based on experience, certifications, and demonstrated leadership capability Premium pay when performing qualifying environmental remediation work requiring full PPE and respiratory protection Company-paid benefits for qualifying employees Ongoing technical, leadership, and certification training Diverse work across environmental, water, fire, commercial, and catastrophic loss projects A clear career path with opportunities to advance into Senior Lead Technician, Environmental Operations Leadership, Estimating, Project Management, and other leadership positions Why Join ServiceMaster Restore Winnipeg?
