Résumé du poste

Potential path to Chief Development Officer / Developer-in-Chief Shah Capital Projects | North America | Advisory / Part-time Shah Capital Projects is building a development platform for critical-mineral processing capacity in North America. Billions of dollars of processing projects have been announced across North America, but moving a project from an identified market need to a financeable facility remains difficult. Feedstock, customers, process technology, engineering, permitting, sites and capital often sit with different parties and need to converge before a project can reach a final investment decision. SCP is being built to do that work repeatedly. We identify missing processing capacity, validate commercial demand and feedstock, assemble the technical and engineering pathway, structure the project, and develop it toward FID through dedicated project companies. Our first development case is in the tungsten value chain. The role We are looking for a senior project-development executive who has personally helped take industrial, mining, mineral-processing, chemical or similar capital projects from early development through feasibility and FID, ideally continuing through construction and commissioning. This is not a ceremonial advisory-board position. The Senior Advisor, Project Development will work directly with the founder on SCP's first project and help build the development discipline that can eventually be repeated across a portfolio of processing assets. For the right person, there is a potential path to becoming SCP's Developer-in-Chief / Chief Development Officer as projects are capitalized. What you would help us do - Shape the development plan for SCP's first processing project from commercial validation through FID. - Define what evidence must exist at each stage before additional development capital is committed. - Challenge assumptions around scope, schedule, CAPEX, contracting strategy and execution risk. - Guide the progression from early process definition through engineering studies, feasibility and FEED. - Help determine when and how to engage metallurgical, engineering, EPCM, permitting and owner's-team resources. - Review project economics and development-stage investment decisions from an owner's perspective. - Help structure a credible path through site selection, permitting, financing, construction and commissioning. - Participate in major project reviews and selected discussions with investors, engineering partners, strategic counterparties and other stakeholders. - Help SCP turn lessons from the first project into a repeatable development playbook. Who we're looking for You have spent a meaningful part of your career actually developing capital projects, not only advising or financing them. Ideally, you have: - Taken one or more industrial projects from concept or study stage through feasibility and FID. - Direct experience with mineral processing, mining, metals, chemicals, energy, advanced materials or comparable process industries. - Worked with multidisciplinary engineering and owner's teams. - Managed or overseen major engineering, CAPEX, schedule and project-risk decisions. - Participated in the interface between commercial contracts, technical development and project financing. - Experience beyond FID through construction, commissioning or operations is strongly preferred. - The judgment to identify which risks need to be solved now and which should wait until the next development stage. We care more about projects you have actually moved forward than titles or years of experience. Why this may be interesting This is an opportunity to help build the development capability behind a new North American critical-minerals platform from the beginning. The ambition is larger than developing one plant. SCP's thesis is that mineral processing needs a dedicated development layer capable of repeatedly bringing together commercial demand, feedstock, technology, engineering and capital to create financeable projects. The first project provides the proving ground. The longer-term objective is a portfolio of independently financed processing assets developed through a common platform. We are currently building the commercial and technical evidence around the first opportunity and assembling the senior team required for the next stage. The initial engagement would be advisory and part-time, with economics structured accordingly. For the right person, we are specifically interested in someone who could take a larger operating role as the first project advances. To start a conversation Send a short note with 2–3 projects you personally helped develop, what stage you joined them at, what stage they reached, and what you were accountable for. We care much more about that than a conventional cover letter.
