We are searching for a Temporary Full-Time Health & Safety Partner to join our Health, Safety and Wellness team based in New Brunswick. This is a temporary full-time opportunity for a one-year term, with an anticipated start date in mid-November. Location: This position may be based in Moncton, Fredericton, Miramichi, Saint John, or Quispamsis, depending on the successful candidate's location. Starting salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity Comprehensive health, vision, and dental benefits plan including an Employee and Family Assistance Program Life, travel, and other insurances Access to virtual healthcare 24/7 for FREE through the group health benefit plan RRSP program (5% employer matching) Vacation accrual (begins immediately) and travel insurance Free onsite parking Access to thousands of perks vendors and discounts through our WorkPerks program, including excellent discounts for apparel, restaurants, technology, fitness, travel, and tickets to some of your favorite sports and entertainment events Access to continuing education and training through Shannex’s Centre of Excellence Opportunities to be part of sector innovation and continuous improvement initiatives Recognition and Rewards for service excellence and safety About The Opportunity Helps to develop and maintain HSW policies, programs, guides, procedures, analytical reports, and communication materials based on emerging trends Provides guidance, recommendations, and support for HSW issues Identifies organization-wide HSW concerns and recommends solutions Works with corporate teams (e.g., Learning & Development, Benefits, Emergency Management, Communications) to create health and safety resources, promote physical and psychological safety, and integrate safety into everyday operations Promotes openness, transparency, and strong communication around health and safety Creates strategies to manage compliance risks and conduct regular audits and follow-up inspections Support new builds through the setup of safety boards, health and safety committees, and compliance-related requirements. Completes safety inspection of new builds, prior to opening, and identify any risks or opportunities Stays current on regulatory changes and update programs to maintain compliance and due diligence Delivers training and education to support injury and illness prevention and strengthen HSW awareness About You In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring: Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Occupational Health & Safety Canadian Registered Safety Professional / Technician (CRSP® / CRST®), or Certified Health & Safety Consultant (CHSC®) would be considered an asset Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH®) or Registered Occupational Hygiene Technologist (ROHT®) would be considered an asset Knowledge of applicable federal, provincial, and municipal occupational health & safety legislation and regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams) with strong data analysis abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to the audience while considering privacy requirements, employee dignity, and organizational risk. Strong judgment, initiative, discretion, and tact in handling sensitive or complex situations. Ability to adapt to changing demands, priorities, and work environments Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, with a focus on effective client engagement and relationship-building Previous work in long-term care or health care industries is an asset Mental Health and Resilience trainer (i.e.; The Working Mind, Mental Health First Aid) Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable

Exigences

Candidates must hold a diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and possess at least 5 years of relevant field experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of applicable federal and provincial safety legislation are required.
