Locating Assistant

Overview Shermco is seeking a Locating Assistant in the Regina area. Responsibilities The Employee will be responsible for Locating Assistant duties coordinated by the JLS Group. JLS works as a larger team and performs locates based on the overall business needs of Shermco. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Provide quality underground facilities locating services to customers across the province of Saskatchewan; Ensure a high level of customer service, quality and safety are upheld; Will be working in both urban and rural areas across the province; Will be responsible to become familiar with, abide by, and to administer the Shermco Health, Personnel and Safety policies; Will adhere to Shermco’s Alcohol and Drug Policy as defined; and Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: Be a recent high school or post-secondary graduate seeking work experience as a Skilled Labourer. Candidates who are currently in the workforce already may also apply. Be a self-starter and demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn new tasks and responsibilities. Hold a valid Driver’s license and clean Driver’s Abstract as travel is a requirement of this position. Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment Strong organization and communication skills Demonstrate strong computer and technical skills Demonstrate a positive customer service attitude towards Shermco clients, stakeholders, and employees. The Locating Assistant provides quality underground facilities locating services to customers across Saskatchewan. They are responsible for maintaining high safety and customer service standards while working in both urban and rural environments.

Candidates should be recent high school or post-secondary graduates or current workforce members with a valid driver's license and clean abstract. The role requires a self-starter with strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward clients.
