Role Description The Clinical Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based in Lethbridge, AB, responsible for providing safe, effective, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care. Day-to-day responsibilities include dispensing medications accurately, reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, and performing clinical assessments to optimize drug therapy. The role involves counseling patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence, as well as collaborating with prescribers and other health care professionals to support comprehensive patient care. The Clinical Pharmacist will perform medication reviews, support chronic disease management, and participate in immunization and other clinical services offered by the pharmacy. Additional duties include maintaining regulatory and company standards, overseeing compounding where required, and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy operations, including safe dispensing and patient counseling. Strong skills in Pharmaceutical Care and Medicine, with the ability to conduct clinical assessments and optimize therapeutic outcomes. Experience with Compounding, ensuring accurate preparation of customized medications when required. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Pharmacist with the relevant provincial regulatory body in Alberta. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team and provide clear guidance to patients. Strong attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. Ability to work in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining high professional standards. Previous community or clinical pharmacy experience and familiarity with pharmacy management systems are considered assets.
