About The Role The Senior Director, Medical Education Operations provides strategic leadership for the systems, services, and operational infrastructure that enable the Stephens Family School of Medicine to deliver exceptional medical education and learner experiences. As a key member of the senior leadership team, this role translates the School's strategic priorities into operational plans that support educational excellence, accreditation requirements, and long-term organizational growth. The successful candidate will lead initiatives focused on accreditation readiness, portfolio integration, workforce planning, and continuous improvement while fostering collaboration across academic, clinical, and community partners. This role will also play a pivotal part in advancing the School's commitment to culturally safe and decolonizing practices, strengthening partnerships with Indigenous communities, and developing innovative operational models that support the future of medical education. The ideal candidate is an experienced and forward-thinking leader with a strong background in medical or higher education administration and a demonstrated ability to lead complex operations. They possess exceptional strategic planning, organizational, and financial management skills, coupled with expertise in accreditation, governance, and change management. The successful candidate excels at building relationships, influencing diverse stakeholders, and leading high-performing teams through collaboration and innovation. Qualifications Master’s degree in Science, Business Administration, or Education, or a related discipline with 10 years of relevant senior management experience in higher education or medical education administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Strategic and operational leadership- Proven ability to provide strategic direction, lead complex operations, and implement initiatives that support organizational priorities and long-term growth. Expertise in medical education and accreditation-In-depth understanding of medical education frameworks, accreditation standards, and best practices that support high-quality educational delivery and continuous improvement. Partnership and stakeholder management- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse internal and external partners. Leadership and team development- Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position.
