Physiotherapist

Sinai Health is looking for a Physiotherapist to support our Rehabilitation department at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus. The duties of this staff Physiotherapists are primarily clinical. This role will support coverage 2 days/week (primarily Wednesday and Thursday) across rotating clinical areas. In this role you will: Assess, plan and provide therapeutic intervention for an assigned patient caseload according to physiotherapy scope of practice. Compile appropriate documentation of physiotherapy activities Discharge planning Record workload measurement Supervise Physiotherapy Assistants as per college guidelines Participate in inter-professional clinics, rounds and discussions Participate in teaching students from other disciplines Mentor fellow colleagues, if appropriate Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required Job Requirements: Mandatory Currently registered and in good standing with the with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario Strong experience in interdisciplinary education Preferred 1 year of experience in the treatment of clients/patients Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Skills and Knowledge Excellent physiotherapy clinical skills with a broad variety of diagnostic groups including skills working with a geriatric population Experience and skill in complex decision making processes and in advancing best practice initiatives and exploration of innovative models of care Experience in self-reflective learning and skill in ability to adapt and respond effectively to change Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; professional, diplomatic and confident with a proven ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organization and external stakeholders Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history If this sounds like you and you feel ready to build your career within physiotherapy, apply now and let us know why you’d be a great addition to our team. The Physiotherapist will assess, plan, and provide therapeutic interventions for an assigned patient caseload while managing documentation and discharge planning. They will also supervise Physiotherapy Assistants and participate in inter-professional clinics and student teaching.

Candidates must be registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. One year of experience in patient treatment is preferred, along with strong interdisciplinary education skills.
