Technical Drafting Manager

Department: Technical Services Reports To: Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Location: Etobicoke, ON (in-person) ABOUT THE COMPANY: SITURA INC. is seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Technical Drafting Manager to lead the drafting team and oversee the quality, consistency, and coordination of technical drawings for waterproof expansion joint systems. This role combines technical drafting expertise with team leadership, ensuring all drawings meet SITURA's engineering standards while supporting project execution from quotation through fabrication and installation. Working closely with the Chief Technical Officer, the Technical Drafting Manager serves as the primary coordinator between the technical, sales, fabrication, marketing, and field teams to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely project delivery. RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical review of internally prepared drawings, details, layouts for alignment with standards and QA. Ensure internal prepared drawings are consistent and technically accurate. Provide feedback to the drafter on required revisions to drawings under the supervision of the CTO, manage a team of drafters (e.g., workflow, assignment of work) review and provide feedback on RFQ's. communicate with technical team for consultation with issues (e.g., escalate technical issues to CTO or Field Technical Manager as required). Merge and maintain the log of ongoing projects using tracking software. Communicate with other departments including sales, fabrication, marketing (e.g., changes required to logistics during fabrication, request for layouts from sales). Manage site visits (coordinate with sales and internal technical team site technicians). Manage requests for quotes from sales (log online, review requests for sufficient information and provide feedback to sales on what additional information is required). If required, draft when busy as needed. Participate in client meetings to discuss technical requirements and project solutions. Organize new layout templates and details to optimize workflow. REQUIREMENTS: Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong understanding of architectural drawings and construction detailing. Knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, or building envelope systems is an asset. Vehicle / Driver’s License a requirement. SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced proficient in computer skills including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rivet, CRM, MS Office Suite and smartphones. Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing. Ability to interpret architectural drawings; experience with building envelope systems is an asset. Experience in waterproofing and/or roofing systems is preferred. Ability to create and interpret 3D perspectives and hand sketches. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Requires a diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering field. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Revit.
