POSITION: CAREER SKILLS INSTRUCTOR HOURS: Contract LOCATION: Canada Contract Instructor(s) – Business, Accounting, Information Technology & Professional Development Programs Program Overview: We are seeking experienced and engaging instructors to facilitate a variety of professional and vocational training courses. The successful candidates will possess subject matter expertise and practical industry experience, enabling them to deliver high-quality, learner-centered instruction to adult students. Courses may include both theoretical and hands-on training, with some requiring proficiency in industry-standard software applications. Instructors will be responsible for creating an inclusive learning environment, delivering course content, supporting student success, and evaluating learner progress. Reporting Relationship Reports To: Manager, Social Enterprise Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and interactive classroom, virtual, or hybrid instruction. Facilitate learning using current industry practices, tools, and methodologies. Prepare and deliver lesson plans, instructional materials, and practical exercises. Assess student learning through assignments, projects, quizzes, and examinations, as applicable. Provide timely feedback and support to learners. Maintain accurate attendance and course records. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports adult learners. Stay informed of current industry trends, regulations, and best practices relevant to the subject area. Current Instructor Opportunities: We are currently seeking primary and/or backup instructors for the following courses: Accounting & Finance Payroll Accounting Personal Income Tax (T1) Business and Corporate Taxation (T2) Management Accounting Information Technology, Software & Data Analytics QuickBooks Online Sage 300 ERP Data Analytics using Microsoft Excel (Beginner and Intermediate) Data Analytics using Tableau Cybersecurity Essentials Business & Entrepreneurship Essentials of Small Business Leadership and Soft Skills Development Project & Risk Management Risk Management (including preparation for the PMI-RMP® examination) Project Management in Construction Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Post-secondary education, professional certification, or equivalent industry experience in the relevant subject area. Demonstrated teaching, facilitation, training, or coaching experience with adult learners. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with relevant industry software and tools where applicable. Current knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, PCP, PMP, PMI-RMP®, Tableau, Microsoft, QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent) will be considered an asset, depending on the course area. Preferred Attributes: Passion for teaching and mentoring adult learners. Experience delivering virtual and/or hybrid training programs. Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse learner needs. Strong organizational and time management skills. Commitment to learner success and continuous improvement.
