Post-secondary degree specializing in a related technical environmental discipline (environmental science or engineering, ecology, environmental law/policy) Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba 3-5 years experience, considered an asset We are SLR Consulting (Americas), a 1500+ team of advisory, environmental, engineering, and regulatory professionals across Canada, the United States, and LATAM. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. We are Making Sustainability Happen. We are looking for an Environmental Planner to play an important role on our Environmental and Social Impact Assessment team. Your specific responsibilities will include: Supporting day-to-day implementation of small to large-scale multidisciplinary environmental impact assessment, permitting, compliance and due diligence projects across multiple sectors and geographies Report writing, research and desktop studies, with potential for participation in some field programs Multidisciplinary team coordination including compilation of technical documents to support regulatory submissions Implementing consultation and engagement programs, including effectively communicating with clients, regulators, and stakeholders Supporting business development activities, such as contributing to proposals and pre-qualification submissions Assisting with project management duties including budget, scope and schedule tracking Promoting and maintaining a positive work environment through a culture of teamwork and cooperation. Full-time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement Qualifications Post-secondary degree specializing in a related technical environmental discipline (environmental science or engineering, ecology, environmental law/policy). 3--5years experience, considered an asset. Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong technical writing skills, with an ability to synthesize technical information and develop plain language summaries. An understanding of municipal, provincial, and federal environmental regulatory and permitting requirements. Experience in a similar role in an environmental consulting environment is considered an asset. An understanding of international environmental and social impact assessment standards, guidelines and processes is an asset. Ability to travel within Canada periodically, as required.
