SMS Equipment is looking for an Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) Program Lead to support the effective day-to-day delivery of AHS operations at customer sites in the Elk Valley. In this role, you will coordinate site teams, branch resources, OEM partners, and customer contacts to help sustain safe, reliable system performance and drive continuous improvement. Work Location: Elkford, BC. Salary: $130,000 to $150,000 per annum plus incentive. Work Arrangement: Fixed on site – working from the customer site each day. Schedule: Monday to Friday. What You’ll Do: * Coordinate the day-to-day execution of AHS support activities at active customer sites. * Coordinate site, branch, and OEM resources to support stable, safe, and reliable AHS performance. * Support system modifications, operational changes, and other ongoing site activities. * Act as the primary site-level point of coordination for AHS operational issues and investigations. * Review and escalate daily, weekly, and monthly AHS performance reports, including exception and availability metrics. * Support corrective actions for emerging trends and continuous improvement opportunities. * Work with OEM and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues. * Help ensure equipment operates within agreed productivity, reliability, and economic performance targets. * Work closely with customer operations teams to maintain service and system performance in alignment with operational priorities. * Attend customer meetings related to system performance, availability, and operational support. * Coordinate issue resolution, system improvements, and documentation updates with OEM representatives. * Support the sharing of best practices across AHS-supported sites within the region. * Ensure OEM documentation is released and communicated to internal and external stakeholders as required. * Support compliance with customer policies, safety requirements, and operational standards related to AHS. * Coordinate and support site personnel, including technicians, Technical Service Representatives, and training staff, as required. What You Bring: The successful candidate will have strong operational experience supporting Autonomous Haulage Systems in a mining environment. A strong understanding of AHS operations is required. Other requirements include: * Demonstrated ability to coordinate site, branch, customer, and OEM resources in a complex operational environment. * Strong understanding of mining practices within hard-rock mining operations. * Ability to analyze large data sets and prepare clear, accurate, and impactful reports. * Understanding of statistical analysis as it applies to mining operations. * Ability to evaluate alternatives, assess risks, and make timely and effective decisions in routine and ambiguous situations. * Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and secure resources through collaboration. * Ability to identify opportunities to improve site operations, processes, cost efficiency, resource utilization, and procedures. * Strong motivation and resilience, with the ability to remain effective through changing priorities, delays, and operational challenges. * Ability to learn and apply new technologies and best practices. * Ability and willingness to work and drive in an active mining environment. * Ability to travel to remote sites within Canada and internationally, as required.
