Optical Associate

We’re hiring to fill a current vacancy, join our team at Optiks International - Kamloops - Victoria Street- partners of solis optics, as an Optical Associate! Join us in making a meaningful impact on people's lives - one frame at a time. This position is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week. Our location is open Monday to Saturday. What You'll Do * Greet and welcome customers, manage customer check-in and check-out * Engage with customers in person, by phone, and via email * Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts * Educate customers on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, ensuring optimal value and quality * Guide customers in selecting eyewear that combines style with optimal vision * Support frame and facial measurements alongside an Optician, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear * Assist with contact lens orders * Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties * Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a positive customer experience * Support store operations by performing additional duties as required What You Bring * Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a retail environment * Previous optical experience is considered an asset * Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment * Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite * Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with customers and providing exceptional experiences * A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player, able to manage changing priorities effectively How You'll Benefit * Competitive wages and benefits with exceptional optical coverage * Rapid and ongoing growth, providing a consistently challenging and rewarding environment * A workplace culture that fosters collaboration and teamwork * Continuous training and development opportunities to support your career growth Why You Should Join Us solis optics, a division of FYihealth group, is your neighborhood retail optical shop, offering quality eyewear and experience to match.
