We are currently seeking a motivated and safety-driven Field Rigging & Fall Arrest Inspector to join our field team. This role is will require travel to customer sites to perform inspections on rigging and fall protection equipment. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a variety of industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Perform on-site inspections of rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, hooks, chains, and below-the-hook lifting devices Perform basic inspections of fall arrest equipment, including harnesses, lanyards, lifelines, connectors, and anchor points Identify wear, damage, and non-compliance in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., ASME, CSA, ANSI, OSHA as applicable) Complete accurate inspection reports and documentation using company systems Tag, label, and certify equipment as required following companies processes Recommend repair, replacement, or removal from service when necessary Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inspection equipment Ensure all work is conducted safely and in compliance with company and client safety policies Support shop inspections Communicate findings and safety concerns clearly to customers and/or internal teams Support other departments in HRR as required Follow all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience in rigging inspection, lifting equipment, or safety equipment inspection preferred Working knowledge of fall protection systems and inspection procedures is required Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision Strong customer service and communication skills High attention to detail and strong organizational ability Comfortable using tablets, inspection software, and reporting systems Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required Certifications (Preferred but not required) Fall Protection / Fall Arrest Competent Person certification Manufacturer-specific inspection training (DBI-SALA, MSA, etc.) considered an asset First Aid / CPR certification Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in industrial environments (construction sites, plants, yards) Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform repetitive tasks In accordance with the provincial wage transparency requirements, the expected base compensation for this position is $20-25/hr (or more) depending on relevant experience, technical competencies, certifications, etc. In addition, all permanent & full-time associates are eligible for additional benefits, including but not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, STD/LTD/AD&D, Life Insurance, RRSP Matching, Pro-rated Vacation Entitlement, Paid Statutory Holidays, Employee Assistance, etc. Unveiling Your Perks: Secure your place in our dynamic, permanent team, where long-term growth meets everyday impact.
