Reports to: Environmental Service Manager The Housekeeping Aide provides support to the residence by, cleaning and sanitizing to ensure that our Residents are living in the best environment possible. Key Responsibilities: Clean – Perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks throughout the assigned property. Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchen, and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, glasses, pots and pans. Wipe and dust surfaces in rooms and clean mirrors. Vacuum and clean floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes. Remove and replace linens, bedspreads, and blankets. Stock – Wash and stock all towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms. Fold laundry and put away as needed. Other – Pick up and empty trash containers. Load washer and dryer as needed. If applicable, notify maintenance if something is not working correctly. Knowledge and Skills Required: High school diploma or GED preferred Detail-oriented, confidential, and professional Ability to read, write and speak English Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times Must be able to stand for long periods of time and reach, bend, lift and pull Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Demonstrated ability to be a team player Additional Requirements include A negative vulnerable sector check completed within 6 months of start date. The Housekeeping Aide performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks throughout the long-term care facility to ensure a clean environment for residents. Responsibilities include disinfecting bathrooms and common areas, managing laundry, and maintaining cleanliness of floors and surfaces.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for long periods. Applicants must also be able to communicate effectively in English and pass a vulnerable sector check.
