Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Wind Turbine Technician (Troubleshooting) to join our team to support operations and maintenance at Bull Creek Wind Farm in Provost, Alberta. The technician must be competent and qualified to work on GE 1.X or similar model GE wind turbines. GE specific training and electrical / mechanical competencies are an asset. GE troubleshooting skillset/experience is a mandatory requirement. We are excited to provide careers in Renewables and are committed to being the best employer possible. Our product is our people! Here’s what you will do as a Wind Technician: Full time home position at Bull Creek Wind Farm in Provost, Alberta. Support the site On-Call Program on weekends. Climb wind turbines (upwards of 130m) to perform diagnostic testing, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs to mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components/systems. Complete various reports, checklists, and hazard analysis as it pertains to job scope. Participate in company and customer HSE/training programs. Deliver exceptional customer experience/service to our partners in the industry. Follow all Health and Safety policies to maintain a zero-incident workplace Scheduled maintenance of Wind Turbine Generators including: inspection, greasing, cleaning, torquing and tensioning of bolted connections Apply LOTO Electrical Troubleshooting Hydraulic Troubleshooting Follow and implement work procedures for specific scopes of work to inspect, repair and maintain Wind Turbine components Populate, track and communicate client and company documentation on a daily basis Maintain and track parts/consumables inventory. Complete work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. Exigences

Requires a minimum of 2 years of GE 1.X troubleshooting experience or 3 years of general wind turbine troubleshooting experience. Candidates must be competent in electrical and mechanical systems and maintain certifications in Fall Protection, LOTO, and First Aid.
