Location: This hybrid role requires 3 days on-site at our Burnaby, BC office and 2 days remote per week. What You’ll Do The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and continuously improving learning solutions and learning technology experiences that build capability for our store teams. This role combines instructional design expertise, learning systems administration, reporting and stakeholder partnership to deliver measurable learning outcomes. Key Responsibilities Learning Content Design & Development Design, develop and maintain engaging digital learning solutions using Articulate Rise, Storyline, Vyond and other authoring tools. Create job aids, guides, reference materials, videos and microlearning resources that grow learner capability. Ensure all learning content is accessible, inclusive, engaging and aligned with business needs. Curriculum Ownership & Relevance Partner with Retail Operations, HR, Clinical and business stakeholders to identify learning needs and capability gaps. Support the ongoing enhancement of learning programs and resources across the retail learning journey. Evaluate learning effectiveness and continuously refine content to improve learner outcomes and business impact. Learning Systems, Delivery & Adoption Act as the LearnAmp (LMS) subject matter expert and system administrator. Manage course uploads, pathways, permissions, configurations and learning records. Provide user support, troubleshoot issues and partner with vendors on enhancements and upgrades. Support the deployment and adoption of learning solutions across store teams and stakeholders. Measurement, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and scorecards for leaders and stakeholders. Analyse completion, compliance, engagement, assessment and capability data. Measure and communicate the effectiveness of learning initiatives using actionable insights. Lead testing, feature implementation and continuous improvement activities within learning technologies. Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership Build strong relationships across Retail Operations, HR, Clinical and other functions. Provide guidance on LearnAmp functionality, reporting and learning best practices. Promote a One Team approach to Retail Team Member Development and support organisational learning objectives. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design or eLearning development, ideally within a retail or customer-focused environment. Advanced experience with e-learning authoring tools and video animation platforms, Microsoft Suite and related digital learning tools. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and a systems approach to training. Experience creating a wide variety of learning solutions including eLearning, facilitated materials, videos, guides and webinars. Strong analytical, reporting and Excel skills with the ability to interpret learning data and provide insights. Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced and evolving environment. Adaptable, collaborative and committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences. Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 base salary, plus quarterly bonus, profit sharing, and benefits.
