Senior Solution Architect

Job Title: Senior Solution Architect – AI, Automation & Business Transformation Duration: 6 months to start, extension to follow, enough work in the project to go full 24 month contractor tenure. Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid, 3 days in office, 2 days remote) Technology – Tech Ops Domain Role Overview We are seeking a senior Solution Architect to lead the transformation of banking operations through AI, Generative AI, Automation, and Process Modernization. This role will partner with business and technology teams to assess current processes, identify optimization opportunities, and design future-state solutions that improve efficiency, customer experience, and operational effectiveness across Deposits, Lending, Cards, Collections, Payments, and Servicing. The SA will ensure compliance to client target architecture and technology vision. Key Responsibilities Architecture Leadership Own end‑to‑end Solution Architecture for the Tech Ops domain, including Deposits, Cards, Lending, Collections, and related servicing operations Define end-to-end solution architectures for Tech Ops, AI, automation, and modernization initiatives. Assess opportunities and recommend the appropriate use of AI, Generative AI, workflow, APIs, business rules, RPA, or process redesign. Design scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions leveraging APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, AI, and automation platforms. Define integration patterns between operational systems and AI capabilities. Architecture Governance & Artifacts Produce and maintain high‑quality architecture artifacts, including: Solution Architecture Documents Architecture artifacts (context, logical, integration, sequence, data flow) Architecture Decision Records Model and maintain solution views using any architecture modeling tools such as iServer (nice to have / preferred). Lead architecture reviews and secure approvals through Client Architecture Governance forums (e.g., TDRC). Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture, and Technology Standards. Have understanding or experience in Model driven architecture development Stakeholder Alignment & Influence Collaborate closely with Business, Product, Engineering, Platform, and Delivery teams to translate business outcomes into scalable technical solutions. Align with Enterprise, Security, Infrastructure, and Data Architects to ensure holistic and compliant designs. Influence and evolve architecture patterns, reference architectures, and domain standards within US P&BB. Delivery Enablement & Oversight Provide hands‑on architectural guidance to delivery teams throughout the SDLC. Review designs, integration approaches, and implementation details to ensure architectural integrity and compliance. Actively support teams in resolving cross‑domain, integration, performance, and resiliency challenges. Required Qualifications & Experience 10+ years in Solution Architecture within Banking or Financial Services. Deep knowledge of Deposits, Lending, Cards, Payments, Collections, or Customer Servicing. Experience in AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Workflow Automation, Document Intelligence, RPA, or Process Mining. Strong understanding of APIs, Microservices, Cloud Platforms, and Event-Driven Architecture. Proven ability to drive business transformation and operational modernization. Lead the transformation of banking operations by designing end-to-end solution architectures leveraging AI, automation, and process modernization. Partner with business and technology teams to optimize operational effectiveness across deposits, lending, cards, and payments.

Requires over 10 years of solution architecture experience within the banking or financial services sector. Must possess deep expertise in AI, Generative AI, cloud-native architectures, and operational banking domains.
