Job Description Provide hands-on physiotherapy and occupational therapy interventions under the guidance of a supervising therapist, assisting clients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADL) retraining Assist in training clients on adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and mobility aids to enhance independence and safety Monitor client progress, maintain accurate documentation, and report changes to the supervising PT/OT Educate clients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, equipment usage, and strategies for maintaining safety and independence Assess and maintain safe, comfortable home environments that support client health and well-being Demonstrate compassionate, respectful care in all interactions while advocating for patient rights and participating in ongoing professional development Qualifications Certificate or Diploma in the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapy Assistant Program (Rehabilitation Assistant Certificate) from a recognized community college program or program, designed to education and provide the skills and abilities required to assist a therapist.
