The technician is responsible for testing, repairing, and replacing automotive systems and components according to manufacturer specifications. They also perform scheduled maintenance and advise customers on necessary future repairs.

Candidates must have a secondary school graduation certificate and a Trade Certification as an Automotive Service Technician. Between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
