Housekeeper - Casual

Location: Barrhead, AB Employment Type: Casual Compensation: Approximately $18/hour Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Casual Housekeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and is committed to supporting the health and well-being of others. Key Responsibilities • Clean and maintain resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces. • Follow established cleaning and sanitation procedures. • Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for residents, staff, and visitors. • Respond effectively to changing priorities and requests. • Work collaboratively with residents, management, and support staff. • Adhere to all workplace health and safety guidelines, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Qualifications • Previous housekeeping or professional cleaning experience preferred. • Experience in a senior care or healthcare environment is considered a strong asset. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Flexible and adaptable in a changing work environment. Physical Requirements This position may require: • Lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling. • Extended periods of walking and standing. • Use of cleaning equipment and PPE as required. Requirements • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check in accordance with applicable legislation. • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required. • Resume submission required. • In-person interview required. Work Location & Dress Code • Parking is available on-site. • Employees must wear non-slip footwear and dark-colored clothing or scrubs. Candidates with housekeeping experience from any industry are encouraged to apply. Those with experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare settings will be given special consideration.
