What You'll Do; As Golf Town’s Department Manager of Footwear & Consumable, you will be responsible for product presentation and ensuring timely merchandise flow from the stockroom to the floor. You are accountable for ensuring exceptional customer experience, for up-to-date staff training and for day operations. We believe in driving sales through a visual experience backed up by the friendliest and most knowledgeable service advisors and managers. Lead the sales floor (including MOD responsibilities) to drive revenue and ensure a high standard of customer service across all departments. Ensure proper staffing levels through effective scheduling and active floor management. Train, coach, and develop associates on customer service, selling techniques, product knowledge, and operational standards. Motivate team performance through daily huddles, recognition programs, and consistent performance feedback. Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally while reinforcing service standards to prevent recurrence. Execute and maintain visual merchandising, pricing, signage, and promotional standards in partnership with merchandising teams. Ensure department readiness through proper stock levels, accurate pricing, and timely product flow from stockroom to sales floor. Monitor and communicate inventory needs, product trends, and operational requirements to management. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and investigation of discrepancies. Ensure compliance with company policies, including loss prevention, cash handling, security procedures, and opening/closing protocols. Support employee development and compliance through training programs, LMS participation, vendor sessions, and performance evaluations. What You'll Bring; 1-3 years of experience in a Fashion retail environment or equivalent relevant experience Prior retail merchandising and stock planning responsibility required. Previous management experience would be an asset Affinity for luxury sport apparel and an interest in golf Strong communication skills and sound judgment Ability to execute company standards successfully. Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt to meet a wide range of customer needs. Work Hours: Flex schedule - some weekends and evenings.
