About the Role: Reporting to the Senior Manager of Content Operations, this role will be responsible for the sub-edits and sign-off of the SSENSE product descriptions. The Sub-Editor ensures that the final product descriptions are accurate, in line with guidelines and tone of voice, and free from grammatical and spelling mistakes. They ensure the best-in-class quality of our translated product descriptions for our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate has meticulous attention to detail, excellent Korean editing skills, a keen interest in fashion, and strong collaboration and communication skills. What You Will Do: Sub-Editing Sub-edit product descriptions according to guidelines and tone of voice Hold strict standards of quality control to ensure content is consistent and accurate Maintain a rigorous schedule that meets deadlines, capacity and quality targets Report translation errors and/or EN copy errors to relevant stakeholders Review translations that were sent through language QC request in a timely manner Continuous Improvement Recommend opportunities to standardize and optimize procedures related to product translation services Drive the execution of process improvement initiatives as required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Korean Literature, Linguistics, Translation, Journalism or a related field 3-5 years experience in translation and sub-editing, ideally as part of a content team in a high-volume production environment for a Korean-speaking market Mastery of Korean grammar, spelling, and usage including ability to craft culturally-sensitive texts A strong proofreading and subbing background in fashion e-commerce an asset What Sets You Apart: Detail-oriented Strong research skills Ability to work effectively to meet tight deadlines Great communication and interpersonal skills Creative and agile thinker who is self-motivated and collaborative Why Join Us: Extended health and dental benefits, including comprehensive mental health programs and coverage.
