SCM focuses on above and below grade high-pressure piping fabrication and self-performs field installations through its Civil, Electrical, and Crane divisions. The company maintains a fleet of mobile equipment, including welding rigs, trucks, excavators, hydro-vac units, and cranes up to 250-ton capacity to support diverse project needs. As a proud member of The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business and a partner of The Three Fires Group, SCM emphasizes safety, quality, and successful outcomes across new construction, maintenance, and turnaround projects. Role Description The Quality Control Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Brigden, ON. This position is responsible for supporting and coordinating quality control processes across fabrication, field installations, and related mechanical, electrical, and civil activities. The role includes maintaining QA/QC documentation, tracking inspections, compiling test reports, and ensuring compliance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The Quality Control Administrator will collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and shop and field teams to schedule inspections, address non-conformances, and communicate quality expectations. Day-to-day tasks involve data entry, report preparation, document control, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality performance. Qualifications Strong quality-focused skills, including Quality Control and Quality Management, with experience supporting QA/QC processes in construction, fabrication, or industrial environments. Solid Analytical Skills to review data, interpret inspection and test results, identify trends, and help resolve quality issues. Effective Communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, clients, and inspectors, and to clearly document and convey quality requirements. Customer Service orientation to respond professionally to client quality inquiries, support project teams, and uphold SCM’s commitment to successful project outcomes. Attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate documentation, record-keeping, and management of quality-related files and reports. Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office or similar) and familiarity with digital document management systems. Knowledge of industrial, mechanical, or construction standards and safety practices is an asset. Relevant post-secondary education or training in quality assurance, engineering technology, construction, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
