Cardiovascular Investigation Unit (CVIU) St. Joseph's Hospital - London, ON Full Time Salary Range: $36.84 - $51.77 /hour The Echocardiographer will provide clinical support within the interdisciplinary team ensuring the success of the Cardiovascular Investigation Unit (CVIU) Program. The Echocardiographer will utilize their clinical skills to ensure quality of patient care, efficiency and cost effectiveness for the Cardiovascular Investigation Unit (CVIU) Program. Essential Qualifications Valid registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario with a specialty of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS) Diploma graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound or Sonography Program OR a degree in a health-related field and a Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound certificate of a post graduate program Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA Evidence of ongoing professional development Impeccable organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Experience communicating effectively with internal and external customers Demonstrated expertise in providing excellent customer service Demonstrated ability to work independently Demonstrated ability in creative problem solving Demonstrated adaptability as well as strong organizational skills to meet the changing needs of the area Demonstrated personal and professional accountability and initiative to achieve and ensure high-quality examinations A commitment to complete other educational requirements as deemed necessary to support the CVIU Program Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in French would be an asset Previous participation and experience in research an asset Teaching and Research St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. The Echocardiographer provides clinical support within an interdisciplinary team to ensure the success of the Cardiovascular Investigation Unit. They utilize clinical skills to maintain quality patient care, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness for the program.

Candidates must be registered with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. A diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound or a health-related degree with a postgraduate certificate is required.
