We are seeking a Mechanical CAD/BIM Technician to join our team. Our team regularly collaborates on projects across North America. The successful candidate should be comfortable working and collaborating on a variety of different projects with team members across North America. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player that is excited about taking on a new challenge. The successful candidate may be based out of one of our Prairies offices, located in Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba. We also offer flexible hybrid work from home/office arrangements. Your Responsibilities as a Mechanical CAD/BIM Technician: Using your knowledge of drafting practices and CAD platforms you will work closely with other CAD Technician / Technologists, engineers, and senior designers to complete the following tasks: * Prepare engineering drawings for municipal, commercial, and industrial projects with Revit. * Ensure Revit, CAD Standards, Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production. * Understand and adhere to Stantec and client standards. * Coordinate project drawings with project managers, technical staff, and others. * Prepare presentation graphics and report figures. * Generate piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). * Develop 2D or 3D piping plans, models, and arrangements starting from P&IDs that schematically show the system and piping concepts * Prepare 3D models of equipment and piping systems. * Create and understand custom blocks (families) using Revit software. * Complete model reviews and collaborate with other technical disciplines. * Ensure that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
