Senior Project Manager, Conveyance

Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Conveyance to join our Water team. The role can be based out of one of the following offices: Toronto, Hamilton/Stoney Creek, Waterloo or London in a hybrid work arrangement. This role offers an opportunity for leading and developing designs on technically challenging storm, sanitary and watermain conveyance projects for clients within the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. You will be working as a Project Manager on projects alongside a Technical Lead and supporting team. You will help lead municipal conveyance designs on a broad variety of projects from small diameter sewers and watermains, to large box-culverts with complex utilities and locations. This role will provide an opportunity to offer guidance and mentorship to supporting designers and developing professionals. You will be performing a variety of tasks which may include liaising with clients, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination activities to progress the project. You will provide project leadership for the project team. Your Key Responsibilities Oversees and manages projects. Responsible for small and large projects of high complexity. Serve as the Project's point of contact with clients, agencies and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals. Supervises the work of other engineers and designers, including setting the priorities for their scope of work, budgets and schedules for completing the work in conjunction with other tasks. Take responsibility in managing project deliverables and schedule. Provides leadership for civil infrastructure projects, including the management of existing client relationships and bringing in new clients. Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for projects, and support marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects, writing technical portions of proposals, participating in client interviews and supporting negotiations for project contracts. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. The Senior Project Manager oversees and manages complex municipal conveyance projects, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and agencies. They provide leadership to project teams, manage budgets and schedules, and support business development efforts.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and be a registered Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist in Ontario. A minimum of 15 years of project management experience in municipal conveyance design is required.
