Technical Co-Founder & CTO (Pre-Funding) – Robotics Startup (Stealth) Location: Greater Toronto Area (Preferred) Stage: Pre-seed / Pre-funding We’re a stealth robotics startup building autonomous mobile manipulation robots for senior living. Our initial focus is automating repetitive physical workflows such as room resets and bed making, with a long-term vision of developing robots that can safely assist with routine nighttime monitoring and other operational tasks, helping caregivers spend more time with residents. We’re looking for a technical co-founder and future CTO to build this company together from day one. Who we’re looking for You don’t need to check every box, but experience in several of the following is ideal: * Mechatronics Engineering * Robotics Engineering * Computer Vision * AI for Robotics / Embodied AI * Controls * ROS 2 * Mobile manipulation * Robot hardware design * NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Isaac Lab / Project GR00T * Mechanical design (SolidWorks, Onshape, etc.) Whether your background is primarily software, hardware, or both, we’re looking for someone excited about building robots that operate in the real world. About the role As a co-founder, you’ll help shape every major technical decision, including: * Robot architecture * Simulation and digital twins * Hardware selection * Mechanical design * Controls and autonomy * Perception * AI and manipulation * Engineering hiring * Long-term technical strategy This isn’t a traditional job—it’s an opportunity to build a company from the ground up alongside a founder who is deeply committed to solving one of the biggest workforce challenges in healthcare. The company is currently pre-funding, so compensation will primarily be founder equity until financing is secured. As a co-founder, you will help shape every major technical decision, including robot architecture, simulation, hardware selection, and engineering hiring. You will be involved in developing the long-term technical strategy for the company.
