Lumber Line Operator

Production Operator Responsibilities Work in compliance with all company rules and regulations Follow all company Health & Safety policies and SOPs Wear all PPE required and work in a safe manner Participate in all company mandated training in good faith Come to work prepared (both mentally and materially) to work in a variety of environments (all seasons, indoors & outdoors) Have excellent knowledge of operations and processes as necessary to the position Complete appropriate forms legibly and clearly Perform computer functions as necessary to complete assigned paperwork Strap and Tally Lumber, Composite & or Poles Rehandle Lumber, Composite & or Poles Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner Maintain good housekeeping in all assigned areas Abide to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards Report all Health & Safety issues immediately Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Forklift Experience is an asset but is not required Stand/walk for significant periods of time Be able to lift 50lbs unassisted Good manual dexterity, hand eye co-ordination Comfortable completing repetitive tasks Attention to detail Excellent trouble-shooting skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Read and comprehend instructions, email correspondence, memos & schedules Communicate both verbally and electronically (email) Work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments Shift is Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm. #StellaH As a Stella-Jones employee, you will enjoy access to excellent benefits and incentives, including: Extended health and dental coverage Life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) Short-Term and Long-Term disability coverage Retirement program (RRSP) with generous Company match Company Share Purchase Program with Company contribution match Career advancement opportunities Stella-Jones is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The operator is responsible for strapping, tallying, and rehandling lumber while ensuring all safety protocols and SOPs are followed. They must maintain equipment, keep work areas clean, and accurately complete required paperwork.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and the physical ability to lift 50lbs unassisted. Strong troubleshooting skills, basic math proficiency, and the ability to work independently in various weather conditions are required.
