Job Number J0626-0011 Job Title Registered Nurse, Perioperative Job Type Casual Job Location: Alliston Job Category Nursing Number Of Open Positions 1 Department Perioperative Salary $41.15 - $58.98 Fte 0.5 Share Facebook X Email LinkedIn Job Summary As part of the interdisciplinary team, the RN is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient/family focused nursing care in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy, policies and standards of care, the College of Nurses (CNO) and all relevant legislation. Qualifications And Experience Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO) as a Registered Nurse. Current BCLS. Perioperative Nurse Certificate from a recognized program required. Two (2) years recent experience in Operating Room, Recovery or Critical Care units. Skills And Abilities Demonstrates excellent assessment, communication, organization, problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills. Demonstrates initiative and the ability to function both independently and as an inter-professional team member in a crisis and fast paced demanding environment. Demonstrates a strong abilities to facilitate patient and family-centered care and establish therapeutic relationships. Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all. Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients, family and staff. Demonstrated commitment to the professional growth and development of self and others. There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts (days, nights, 12 hours). Exigences

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the CNO, hold a Perioperative Nurse Certificate, and have current BCLS certification. A minimum of two years of recent experience in Operating Room, Recovery, or Critical Care units is required.
