As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to support our financial and administrative operations. Position Summary The Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of payroll and accounts payable functions for a multi-site, seasonal organization with approximately 300 employees. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service for employees and vendors. The successful candidate works closely with Human Resources, Finance, and Operations to support efficient business processes and day-to-day financial activities. Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration * Process full-cycle payroll for approximately 300 employees across multiple locations. * Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation, including Quebec regulations. * Validate payroll data and maintain payroll records. * Perform payroll reconciliations prior to transmission and review post-payroll reports. * Prepare payroll journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations. * Calculate and maintain vacation, statutory holiday, and leave balances. * Prepare payroll remittances and government filings. * Support year-end payroll activities, including T4 and Relevé 1 preparation. * Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. * Participate in payroll audits and compliance reviews. * Monitor legislative updates affecting payroll administration. * Prepare payroll reports, analytics, and performance metrics. * Support the Accounting department with any other related tasks, such as payables or other. Qualifications * Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written). * Minimum 3–5 years of full-cycle payroll experience in a multi-location environment. * Experience managing accounts payable functions. * Strong knowledge of Quebec and Canadian payroll legislation. * Experience with ADP Workforce Now or an equivalent payroll system. * Experience with payroll and accounts payable accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. * Experience preparing T4 and Relevé 1 year-end documentation. * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Strong communication and teamwork skills.
