Position Summary Journeyperson Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. PROJECT DETAILS Based out of Fort Saskatchewan Travel for projects as required Core Accountabilities Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.) Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems Qualifications Education Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authority Training Must have or be willing to obtain valid H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets - CSTS 09 and CSO/BSO will not be accepted Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing Able to lift 50 pounds Comfortable working outdoors Why work for Strike: Based in Western Canada with a head office in Calgary, Alberta, we provide energy and industrial construction and maintenance services across the largest geographical area in Canada.
