What You?ll Be DoingPilates and Reformer Instruction * Demonstrate and instruct Pilates and Reformer-based activities, exercises and techniques * Lead and instruct group Reformer Pilates classes * Lead and instruct individual Reformer Pilates sessions * Plan and deliver Pilates, Reformer and related fitness activities * Select appropriate exercises, equipment settings and modifications based on clients? abilities and needs * Apply an understanding of group dynamics when leading classes and programs * Conduct adapted or therapeutic Pilates-based activities within the instructor?s training and scope * Provide appropriate support and modifications for clients with special needs * Create a safe, welcoming and client-focused experience for all participants Instructor Training and Supervision * Supervise Pilates and fitness instructors * Train and mentor Pilates and fitness instructors * Assist with the coordination of instructor training and development * Support instructors in delivering safe, consistent and high-quality programming * Help uphold Studio VERS??s teaching standards and class experience Equipment and Safety * Inspect, maintain and arrange for the repair of Reformer and other Pilates equipment * Ensure health and safety regulations and equipment-safety procedures are followed * Monitor participants and equipment use during classes * Maintain a clean, organized and safe teaching environment What We?re Looking For * Secondary school graduation certificate * Five years or more of relevant Pilates instruction experience * Recognized Pilates teacher training or certification * Reformer Pilates training or certification * Previous experience teaching Reformer Pilates classes * Experience leading and instructing both groups and individuals * Experience training, mentoring or supervising fitness instructors * Strong understanding of Pilates principles, movement mechanics, exercise modifications and safe equipment use * Ability to communicate effectively in English Personal Suitability The successful candidate will be: * Accurate * Client focused * Dependable * Flexible * Organized * Reliable * A collaborative team player * An excellent oral communicator * Someone who demonstrates initiative, sound judgement and interpersonal awareness * Someone with efficient interpersonal skills Pay: $16.50-$25.00 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Flexible schedule * On-site gym * On-site parking Work Location: In person
