Mantles Restaurant & Lounge, situated in Sun Peaks Grand's lower lobby, seeks a Food & Beverage Supervisor to enhance guest experiences and maintain a positive workplace culture. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, collaborating with the culinary team, and ensuring exceptional guest service. The ideal candidate is a passionate, communicative enthusiast who loves food, drinks, and the mountains. Compensation Information: $22.35 per hour Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; both in an indoor & outdoor environment. This job position requires physical presence at the designated location. The Perks And Benefits You’ll Get To Enjoy Winter/Summer Season Lift, Trail and Golf passes (varies by position) Access to our Employee and Family Assistance Program Dining discounts within our hotel & Resort-owned outlets Retail discounts in our Resort-owned outlets Friends and family rates at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel Reciprocal programs with partnering ski areas & hotels Skills You Bring With You 1-2 Years supervisory experience Serving it Right Certification Micros POS system experience Excellent food and wine knowledge Ability to work as a team as well as independently Strong attention to detail Ability to motivate and support a team in a fast-paced environment, creating an innovative culture Passion for guest service and the proven ability for consistently anticipating guest needs Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task Service/Operations Primary Responsibilities: Oversees the food & beverage operations and ensures established SPG Standards of Service are executed in a professional and consistent manner: Supervises food orders, and ensures delivery of food & drinks and guest bills are brought in a timely manner Ensures all checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing duties are completed Ensures Health & Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times Assists in any F&B Department Outlet as business volumes dictate Takes sections and waits on tables as needed, based on business volumes Takes note of opportunities to improve processes and remove barriers that weaken guest experience Guest Experience Champions guest resolution using established SPG Standards of Service Interacts with guests throughout the duration of their dining experience with a focus on delivering an elevated experience Drives customer loyalty by building individual connections with guests Acts as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks with the ability to promote internal and external events Solicits feedback from guests and provides ongoing suggested improvements to the F&B Managers Team Commitment & Collaboration Assists the F&B Managers in training Bartenders, Servers, and Host/Food Runners on F&B operations Supervises the F&B team, finding coaching opportunities throughout each day ensuring continued growth and development for all team members; documenting appropriately Provides the F&B Managers timely feedback regarding Bartenders, Servers, and Host/Food Runners and opportunities for growth or performance management needs Advises the F&B Managers of team member advancement readiness when aptitude & engagement presents in entry level positions Ensures team members have current knowledge of menu offerings and pricing Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among Front of House and Back of House team members, ensuring team members are treated fairly and equitably Assists in emergency situations making prompt decisions in the best interest of the guest and the Hotel Why join us?
