Are you an avid cross-country skier who loves all things Nordic? We are now recruiting Nordic Attendants for Winter 2026-27. As a Nordic Attendant, you’ll be Nordic skiing daily, providing guests with information and helping them find their way around the trails. You will also be responsible for daily upkeep of the Nordic trails, including maintaining signage and helping with occasional trail grooming, as well as assisting Guest Services staff with greeting Nordic skiers at the East Village Centre. Compensation Information: $21.35 to $22.35 per hour Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; predominantly in an outdoor setting. This job position requires physical presence at the designated location. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding. Skills You Bring With You Knowledge of Nordic skiing (CANSI certification or National equivalency is an asset). Experience in Nordic rental, Nordic retail, and/or Nordic trail operations. Willingness to learn and provide exceptional guest service to Nordic trail users. Primary Responsibilities Assist Nordic skiing guests by providing trail information and helping them with navigation throughout the Nordic trail network. Ensure good housekeeping and assist with snow clearing at the entrance to the East Village Centre, around the Umbrella Café and Toboggan Hill areas, and at the McGillivray Lake Outpost cabin. Assist with daily upkeep of the Nordic, Snowshoe, and Fat Bike trail systems by inspecting trail conditions, coordinating with the Grooming team, trimming or removing fallen trees, and collecting garbage. Assist Guest Services staff in the East Village Centre by providing guest information and/or helping with Nordic rentals during periods of high demand. Daily upkeep of Nordic trail maps and signage, as well as upkeep of other signage within the Nordic trail network (e.g. Snowshoe and Fat Biking signage). Assist with occasional grooming of the Nordic trail network after snowfall events using a snowmobile, Ginzu, roller, or other grooming tools. Interact with trail users on the Nordic trail system and check for a valid season pass or ticket. Perform daily shutdown procedure of the McGillivray Lake Outpost cabin on skis or using a snowmobile.
