JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are currently seeking Truck & Trailer Technicians to join our team at our brand-new Speed Bay facility in Saint John, NB. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, fast-paced environment alongside a skilled maintenance team committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Truck & Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, reliability and performance of Sunbury's fleet. Responsibilities include:Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on trucks and trailersDiagnosing mechanical concerns and confirming findings with the supervisorReviewing and completing work orders accurately and efficientlyRoad testing motor vehicles and testing automotive systems and componentsAdjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of truck/trailer systemsRepairing or replacing mechanical units and components to manufacturer specificationsCompleting detailed reports to document work performed and issues identifiedMaintaining a clean, safe workspace in accordance with 5S standardsWorking collaboratively with technicians and apprenticesFollowing established processes for core and warranty managementAdhering to Sunbury's safety policies, procedures, and shop standardsResponsible for completing MVIs in accordance with NB GuidelinesQUALIFICATIONSRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentTruck and Transport Mechanic Certification (minimum Level 1 Apprentice)Strong understanding of safety procedures and shop processesWorking knowledge of tools and equipment used in truck and trailer maintenanceBasic truck and trailer maintenance skills and mechanical aptitudePreferred Qualifications2-4 years of experience in truck and trailer maintenanceExperience with troubleshooting and diagnosticsStrong parts identification knowledgeFreightliner / Detroit Diesel training considered an assetRed Seal designationWelding experience considered an asset
