Manager, Finance & Accounting Saskatoon (Hybrid) Are you a finance leader who combines strong accounting expertise with business insight and a passion for continuous improvement? We are seeking a Manager, Finance & Accounting to join our Finance team during an exciting period of organizational growth and continued improvement. Working alongside the Vice President, Finance, you’ll help evolve our finance function by strengthening reporting, improving business insight, leveraging technology, and supporting better decision-making across the organization. The Manager, Finance & Accounting reports to the Vice President, Finance and is responsible for leading the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization while providing leadership to a collaborative Finance team. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintains strong financial controls, and oversees budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance across the Canadian and U.S. operations. Working closely with the Vice President, Finance, the Manager supports strategic financial planning and organizational decision-making through accurate and timely financial reporting, operational analysis and the continued development of meaningful management reporting. This role also champions continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting while contributing to the ongoing development of the Finance function and the organization's long-term success. Success in this role requires balancing strong technical accounting expertise with a continuous improvement mindset and a collaborative approach to support operational leaders across the organization. What You’ll Do Lead Accounting Operations - Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting packages. - Lead month-end and year-end close processes. - Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements. - Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational and strategic needs. - Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies. Support Financial Planning & Analysis - Coordinate the annual budgeting process and support forecasting and variance analysis. - Develop profitability reporting by client, service line, and region. - Build financial models and support business case development. - Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and business performance. Develop and Lead the Team - Coach, mentor, and develop members of the Finance team. - Establish priorities and ensure departmental deliverables are completed accurately and on time. - Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Drive Process Improvement - Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools. - Identify opportunities to leverage automation, technology, and process enhancements. - Partner with operational leaders to improve data quality and reporting consistency. What We're Looking For You are a collaborative and results-oriented finance leader who balances strong technical accounting skills with business acumen. You build strong relationships, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and enjoy creating practical solutions that drive organizational success. Your Credentials - CPA designation (or equivalent) preferred. - 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience. - Experience leading accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close. - Proven people leadership and team development experience. - Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business analysis skills. - Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Excel. - Ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders. - Professional services or appraisal industry experience is an asset.
