Location: Sunderland, ON Company: Sunderland Co-operative Inc. Employment Type: Full-Time (20–40 hours per week) Wage: $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience POSITION OVERVIEW We are currently seeking a dependable and community-minded Outside Yard Member to join our co-operative farm store team. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work, values customer service, and takes pride in supporting local farmers and rural customers. The position involves a variety of responsibilities across feed, retail, fuel, and propane operations while working both indoors and outdoors throughout the year. As a co-operative, we value teamwork, safety, and service to our members and customers. The successful candidate will contribute positively to daily operations and help maintain a welcoming, efficient farm store environment. WHAT YOU’LL DO: * Assist with feed handling, including receiving, loading, unloading, and organizing inventory * Support retail farm store operations, including stocking shelves and assisting customers * Health & Safety member * Performing visual inspections on equipment. * Safely operate a forklift for material handling (training provided) * Assist with propane services in accordance with safety standards and regulations (training provided if required) * Work inside and outside in all seasons, including yard and warehouse areas * Learn and operate the POS (Point of Sale) system for customer transactions as needed * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, store, and work areas * Follow all co-operative policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements * Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to members, farmers, and customers WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: * Strong work ethic and willingness to learn multiple aspects of the operation * Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting and working on your feet * Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions * Forklift experience is an asset * Fuel, propane, or agricultural retail experience is an asset * Basic computer skills or willingness to learn POS systems * Strong customer service and communication skills * Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player * Reliability and a positive attitude The Essentials: • CAS approved work boots required • Ability to lift 25kg • G class driver’s license, minimum 25 years of age due to insurance regulations Why Join Us? * Competitive hourly wage based on experience * Training and development in multiple areas of farm retail operations * A supportive, team-oriented co-operative work environment * Opportunity to serve and support the local agricultural community HOW TO APPLY Ready to make an impact in the farming community?
